THE SHORT STORY

KEEMA was founded in 2009 by frontman Kim Hesselberg with a clear mission: to create a band with great melodies in focus! The love of hard rock and metal quickly came to shine through in the songwriting process; the good songs were combined with heavy riffs and the foundation for KEEMA was created. Jack Andy is the first member of the band and from 2009-2012 he and Kim experience a period of changing band members and the development of new material - but the right sound didnt appear. Everything falls into place in the spring of 2012 when Rune Buck and Fussy Korsholm join the band. Old songs given new life and new ideas evolve faster than the band can keep up. A special energy and sound occurs.

THE FUTURE

With the release of RISE UP, KEEMA will be touring the Danish venues, festivals and schools during the spring and summer. At the same time they are working setting up tours in the neighbouring countries such as Sweden and Germany, as the goal is to be able to visit during the fall. In addition to having plans for heavy concert activity during 2013, KEEMA is not going to rest due to recording new material. The plan is to release 2 EPs during 2014 before the next full-length album in 2015.

KEEMA's GOAL

At this point KEEMA is already getting radio airplay in Berlin, Stockholm, Los Angeles and Phoenix and on various web radioes by among others the American radio legend Jonathan L. A clear sign of that the music has a market outside of Denmark. KEEMA’s clear goal and ambition to become a Danish export seem to be in progress! The great desire for a foreign adventure is neither naive dreams of "fame and fortune" or illusions about the big breakthrough. It’s just the realization of the fact that you have to be present where your product is attractive!
